Pamper Yourself: My 10 Favorite Clean Self-Care Products from Amazon Deal Days

It’s October - kids are back in school and Fall routines are in full swing. If you’re anything like me, this is the time of year when I can finally take a deep breath after summer — and attempt to regroup before the holiday craziness starts. And that includes taking some “me time”, which we all know can be fleeting.

Amazon’s Deal Days are a perfect excuse to refresh your self-care routine. Here are my top 10 favorite clean, high-quality, better-for-you products with transparent, conscious ingredients and safer manufacturing practices AND amazing results - because what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in it!

Amika’s super creamy and nourishing mask is great for hair that’s dry, stressed, or color-treated. It worked wonders on my hair after years of questionable highlights — and it’s cruelty-free and clean-beauty friendly, so no heavy silicones or questionable ingredients.

This FDA-cleared mask offers multiple light therapy modes helping with skin renewal, calming acne, boosting mood, and stimulating collagen. A 5–10 minute session a few times per week can replace harsher topical treatments.

Oral care is self-care too. This Boka paste uses nano-hydroxyapatite, a mineral that helps repair enamel, and skips fluoride.  Originally bought for my very cavity-prone middle kid in attempt to remineralize his teeth before multiple fillings, the paste has worked wonders and is a great safer-ingredient alternative for sensitive teeth or any cavity-prone family member.

These cough drops are the only thing I will buy. I carry them with me at all times and in all bags and can’t tell you how many times they’ve helped me dodge a coughing fit on anairplane. With real Manuka honey + bee propolis and eucalyptus, they’re a great alternative to dye-soaked chemical-based conventional cough drops with questionable artificial additives.

Aveda is known for tough standards, and this shampoo is 97% naturally derived.  I have used it for years and whenever I deviate I always come back to it. It’s clarifying and fresh — ideal for resetting your scalp after exposure to pollution or styling products. There’s a complimentary conditioner in the same line too. And it doesn’t hurt that Aveda is 100% vegan, a certified B corp and leaping bunny approved.

Sun protection + glow + lightweight formula? Yes, please. This clean, tinted sunscreen has broad- spectrum protection and blue-light filtering.  It’s a daily staple at my house — both for me and my middle school daughter, who is only allowed clean makeup options.

This sulfate, paraben and dye-free body wash not only smells amazing, but is rich with antioxidants and leaves my skin super soft and hydrated.

These blends have changed my life. As someone who not only suffers from significant brain fog due to an auto-immune condition (and likely parent-related lack of sleep), and as the child of a parent with Alzheimer’s, brain health is always a high priority. Ryze blends use six adaptogenic organically grown mushrooms help with energy, focus, immunity and digestion. Use the coffee blend in the morning and the matcha to avoid the after-lunch brain slump.

Pair your Ryze bevy of choice with steamed milk or dairy-free alternative and you’ll never hit up the corner coffee shop again - saving both your wallet and your exposure to all the chemicals and mold found in conventional coffee.

As someone who has tried every supplement out there, I can honestly say this might be it for me. For anyone looking for a balanced, organic, liposomal multi, Mary Ruth’s delivers. BUT the best thing about this formula is the extraordinary dose of biotin, which has literally added inches to my once-thinning and breaking hair. No product delivers the same results - proving beauty really does come from within!
